正品蓝导航 Law Takes First Place at Gaming Law Moot Court Competition

Congratulations to 正品蓝导航 Law Moot Court Team and Coaches 正品蓝导航 Law alums Rebecca Neumann and G. Adrian Galvan!
March 12-13, 2021, 正品蓝导航 Dedman School of Law won first place overall in the Frank A. Schreck Gaming Law Moot Court Competition hosted by UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law. Twenty-eight teams competed with only eight teams advancing from the two preliminary rounds. Representing 正品蓝导航 were three 2Ls—Nicholas Curley, Tyler Freeman, and Andrew Killian—competing for their first time. The semi-final and final round judges included members of the Nevada Gaming Board and the Nevada Gaming Commission, some of whom wrote the very regulations at issue in the problem. The problem consisted of a Fifth Amendment self-incrimination issue, and an administrative deference and preemption issue within the context of the gaming industry. The team was coached by 正品蓝导航 Dedman Alumni Rebecca Neumann and G. Adrian Galván.
