ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ Rotunda Passage

The tradition of the Rotunda Passage is made up of two events – Rotunda Processional and Rotunda Recessional – that symbolize students’ formal introduction and completion of their ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ journey.

Rotunda Passage

The first part of the ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ student journey, Rotunda Processional, takes place before Convocation and their first day of classes in the fall. The second part of this tradition, Rotunda Recessional, takes place after Baccalaureate on the day before graduation as part of Commencement Weekend.

Each year, we invite our alumni and ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ faculty and staff who are proud parents and family members of incoming students and graduating seniors to play a special role as Alumni Marshals during these two special events.

Sign up today to be part of this special celebration. Please register as an Alumni Marshal for Rotunda Recessional taking place on Friday, May 16. Contact Amy Thompson at amythompson@smu.edu with any questions.
