Misty J. Birdsong earned her B.A. in Philosophy from Baylor University and her J.D. summa cum laude from ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ Dedman School of Law, where she was valedictorian, Editor-in-Chief of ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½ Law Review, Outstanding First Year Student, Order of the Coif, and a Sumners Scholar. Before joining the law faculty at ÕýÆ·À¶µ¼º½, Professor Birdsong worked as an associate in the litigation and appellate groups at Baker Botts, LLP. Before Baker Botts, she clerked for The Honorable Robert E. Keeton, Federal District Judge for the District of Massachusetts.

Professor Birdsong is Director of Academic Success and Co-Director of Legal Analysis, Writing, and Research. She currently teaches Advanced Legal Analysis, Lawyering Skills, and Advanced Analytical Legal Writing.
